Now You Can Have Completely Integrated Test Execution for CCStudio and TI Compiler
VectorCAST has supported the TI DSP Compiler for more than 10 years, and has supported the Code Composer Studio (CCStudio) IDE since version 1.0. Currently, the most common versions of CCStudio are versions 3.1, 3.3, and 4.0. The VectorCAST/RSP for CCStudio provides a complete and elegant integration, for test execution using the CCStudio DSP simulators, evaluation hardware such as boards from Spectrum Digital, or actual production hardware.
A wide variety of target connections mechanisms can be supported, including out-of-the-box support for emulator connections such as the Spectrum Digital family of JTAG emulators.
Push-button test execution for TI compiler
Regardless of the target used, or the target connection employed, VectorCAST provides a unique and sophisticated integration that allows for push-button test execution. This is accomplished via the CCStudio IDE using either the GEL Script or Perl Script methods of controlling the IDE. Either of these techniques results in completely automated and unattended regression test execution.
The scripting interface to CCStudio is the same regardless of the target processor, including multi-core processors such as the OMAP family. In addition to unattended execution, VectorCAST/RSP also allows test cases to be run under control of the CCStudio debugger. Debugging can be performed both with the older CCStudio version 3.x IDE and the latest eclipse-based CCStudio 4.0 IDE.

Support for test environments controlled by TI DSP/BIOS
Finally, for those customers that require a real-time operating system (RTOS), VectorCAST/RSP provides full support for building test environments that run under control of the TI DSP/BIOS. The DSP/BIOS is a scalable real-time multi-task kernel optimized for TI DSP processors, which is gaining in popularity. All of the configuration files required to build a DSP/BIOS based application are part of the VectorCAST/RSP configuration, resulting in complete support for this mode of testing.
